According to preliminary reports from the provinces and cities of Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Son La, and Hanoi, rain, hail, thunderstorms, and lightning that occurred from March 29-31 caused the following damage:
- Regarding casualties: 4 people died and 9 people were injured (no change from the quick report on the morning of March 31).
- Regarding housing: 13 houses collapsed (12 in Lao Cai; 1 in Son La); 8,484 houses had their roofs blown off or were damaged (1,144 in Cao Bang; 4,528 in Lao Cai; 1,225 in Tuyen Quang; 358 in Lang Son; 3 in Phu Tho; 1,196 in Thai Nguyen; 30 in Son La) , an increase of 1,933 houses compared to the report on the morning of March 31st.
- Regarding agriculture: 1,156.2 hectares of crops, fruit trees, and annual plants were damaged (Cao Bang 416.8 ha; Lao Cai 26.4 ha; Tuyen Quang 548.7 ha; Lang Son 5.1 ha; Phu Tho 41 ha; Thai Nguyen 114.4 ha; Hanoi 3.5 ha; Son La 0.3 ha) , an increase of 974.4 ha compared to the report on the morning of March 31; 507.3 hectares of forestry trees were damaged (Cao Bang 2.3 ha; Lao Cai 1.3 ha; Tuyen Quang 390.4 ha; Lang Son 18 ha; Thai Nguyen 95.3 ha) , an increase of 439.2 ha compared to the report on the morning of March 31.
- Regarding livestock: 1,488 head of cattle and poultry died (Cao Bang 66; Lao Cai 280; Tuyen Quang 132; Thai Nguyen 1,010), an increase of 208 head compared to the report on the morning of March 31st.
- Regarding transportation: Trees have fallen and landslides have occurred at 9 locations on provincial and rural roads in Tuyen Quang. Traffic is currently flowing normally.
- Regarding other damage: 402 auxiliary structures were damaged (Cao Bang 123; Lao Cai 69; Tuyen Quang 184; Thai Nguyen 26), an increase of 230 structures compared to the report on the morning of March 31st.
- Other damages remain unchanged compared to the preliminary report on the morning of March 31st.
Currently, local authorities are continuing to address the consequences, stabilize people's lives as soon as possible, and assess and compile damage reports.

- Regarding casualties: 4 people died (1 in Tuyen Quang due to lightning strike, 2 in Quang Ninh due to a storm that overturned a boat, 1 in Son La due to lightning strike); 9 people were injured (6 in Lao Cai, 1 in Lang Son, 1 in Thai Nguyen, and 1 in Hanoi).
- Regarding housing: 13 houses collapsed (12 in Lao Cai, 1 in Son La); 6,551 houses had their roofs blown off or were damaged (634 in Cao Bang, 4,528 in Lao Cai, 314 in Tuyen Quang, 358 in Lang Son, 3 in Phu Tho, 684 in Thai Nguyen, 30 in Son La).
- Regarding agriculture: 35 hectares of rice (Lao Cai), 181.8 hectares of vegetables, fruit trees, and annual crops (Cao Bang 26.2; Lao Cai 26.4; Tuyen Quang 44.6; Lang Son 5.1; Phu Tho 41; Thai Nguyen 34.7; Hanoi 3.5; Son La 0.3), and 68.1 hectares of forestry trees (Lao Cai 1.3; Tuyen Quang 15; Lang Son 18; Thai Nguyen 33.8) were broken or damaged.
- Regarding livestock: 1,280 poultry died (280 in Lao Cai; 1,000 in Thai Nguyen).
- Regarding other damage: 172 auxiliary structures (Cao Bang 45; Lao Cai 69; Tuyen Quang 42; Thai Nguyen 16), 34 schools (Cao Bang 8; Lao Cai 14; Tuyen Quang 1; Lang Son 4; Thai Nguyen 5; Son La 2), 22 cultural centers (Cao Bang 1; Lao Cai 20; Tuyen Quang 1), 3 agency headquarters (Cao Bang 1; Lao Cai 2) had their roofs blown off or were damaged; 21 power poles (Lao Cai 16; Thai Nguyen 2; Son La 3) were broken or collapsed; 2 transformer stations (Hanoi) were damaged.
Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, local authorities organized visits to comfort and encourage families affected by the disaster; mobilized forces to assist people in overcoming the consequences and stabilizing their lives as soon as possible; and continued to review and compile the damage.
