Description
According to a quick report from the two provinces of Lao Cai and Tuyen Quang, from the night of August 2nd to August 3rd, heavy rains caused the following damage:
- Regarding homes: 24 houses were affected (Lao Cai: 16 houses; Tuyen Quang: 8 houses), of which 14 houses were urgently relocated (Lao Cai: 6, Tuyen Quang: 8).
- Regarding agriculture: 19.6 hectares of rice and other crops were flooded and affected (Lao Cai: 13.6 ha; Tuyen Quang: 6 ha).
- Regarding transportation: Localized flooding and landslides occurred at 4 locations on National Highway 4E (Lao Cai); 440 m³ of provincial and rural roads were affected by landslides (Lao Cai: 250 m³; Tuyen Quang: 190 m³); in addition, some rural roads and bridges were flooded; traffic is currently normal.
