Chronology: A drastic decrease in rainfall in Sinjai Regency, due to insufficient water supply, has caused difficulties for some communities in obtaining clean water for daily needs in Saotanre Village, Sinjai Tengah Sub-district. Agricultural areas are also experiencing water shortages. Rice crops are beginning to face the risk of disrupted growth and, if an adequate water supply is not provided promptly, may potentially experience crop failure. According to a report from the Battambang Provincial Committee for Disaster Management, rainfall-induced flooding affected all 14 cities/districts and 71 communes/sangkats in the province. A total of 19,291 houses, equivalent to 21,807 families, were affected, while 856 families, or 2,767 people, were evacuated to safe areas. The flooding also affected 780 infrastructure facilities across the 14 cities/districts, while 35,612 hectares of rice crops were affected.
