Description

Nine villages in four sub-districts in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi on Thursday (04/30/2020) night, were hit by floods following heavy rains that flushed the area in recent days. It is estimated that more than 1046 families are affected and around 1000 families are forced to flee.

The affected villages include:
Poso City sub-district:
- Desa Gebang Rejo Timur (122 families)
- Desa Gebang Rejo (118 families)
Poso Kota Selatan sub-district
- Sayo Village (206 families)
- Lembomawo Village (22 families)
- Rononuncu Village (163 families)
Lage sub-district
- Watuawu Village (not yet recorded)
- Sintuwulemba Village (not yet recorded)
Poso Pesisir Selatan sub-district
- Tangkura Village (400 families)
- Betalemba Village (15 families)

The number of evacuation points is spread in Gebang Rejo Timur village 1 location, Gebang Rejo village 1 location, Rononuncu village 2 location and Sayo village 1 location.

It was reported that three housing units in Rononuncu Village, Poso Selatan District were severely damaged and one elementary school building in Ranononcu Village was slightly damaged.

While on Saturday, May 2, 2020 Pkl. 02.10 WITA The local BPBD also reported that the connecting bridge between Pesisir Utara and Poso Pesisir sub-districts located in Maranda Village, Pesisisr Utara sub-district was cut off.

The efforts made by the BPBD Rapid Reaction Team, Kab. Poso conducted a rapid assessment and coordinated with the Public Works Agency for the construction of emergency bridges and when news was received, the Public Works Office had begun to build an emergency bridge.

On Saturday, 2 May 2020, flooding in Banyusari Village, Lore Utara sub-district was also reported, with material losses as follows:
- 1 unit of house washed away
- 50 houses are submerged
- 2 bridge units collapsed

Description

Heavy rains that hit East Kotawaringin Regency (Kotim) made a number of villages in the northern region flooded between 27 to 29 April 2020. Inundated water has a height ranging from 10 to 100 centimeters. Areas affected include: - Bukit Batu Village (Cempaga Hulu Sub-district) - Tumbang Mujam Village (Tualan Hulu Sub-district) ~ 4 houses inundated, 16 affected families - Tumbang Sangai Village and Bejarau Village (Parenggean Sub-district) - Kuala Kuayan Village (Mentaya Hulu Sub-district) - Tumbang Sangai Village, Tumbang Bajenai, Tumbang Boloi, Tumbang Mangkup, Luwuk Kuwan, Rantau Tampang, Rantau Katang and Tukang Langit (Telaga Antang Sub-District) - Sebungsu Village & Tanjung Jorong Village (Luwuk Sampun Sub-district) ~ 14 families affected In total there were fifteen villages affected in six sub-districts. The highest flood is in Luwuk Sampun Village with a height of up to 1 meter. The cause of flooding in some of the villages is thought to be from the overflow of the Mentaya river due to heavy rains upstream. High rainfall in the last few days also made the access road connecting between Parenggean District, Mentaya Hulu, to Antang Kalang, East Kotawaringin Regency (Kotim), suffered quite severe damage. Roads can hardly be crossed by the community. The road at Km 19 is also totally cut off. As a result, residents activities were disrupted and transportation access was totally paralyzed. In addition to being aware of the Covid-19 outbreak and natural disasters such as floods, the community is also advised to be on the lookout for a disease that is growing rapidly in the rainy season, namely Dengeu Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF)
