Heavy rain in western Java since 30 April has caused widespread floods, resulting in casualties and damage. According to media reports, 2,000 people have been displaced, 81,088 have been affected, 21,888 houses and several public buildings were flooded in Bandung Regency (West Java Province). The Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) reports further flooding in Cilegon City (Banten Province). For the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain is forecast across the affected areas. Flood water was up to 2 metres deep in some areas. As of 02 May, 21,888 homes had been submerged, affecting 81,088 residents (24,898 families). Schools, places of worship and other public buildings have also been flooded. Around 2,000 people have been displaced and temporarily moved from their homes in Bojongsoang, Baleendah and Dayeuhkolot. Almost 20,000 people were affected by flooding in Bandung in January this year. Flooding struck again in the district in late March and by early April over 50,000 people had been affected. Nine villages in four sub-districts in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi on Thursday (04/30/2020) night, were hit by floods following heavy rains that flushed the area in recent days. It is estimated that more than 1046 families are affected and around 1000 families are forced to flee.

The number of evacuation points is spread in Gebang Rejo Timur village 1 location, Gebang Rejo village 1 location, Rononuncu village 2 location and Sayo village 1 location.

It was reported that three housing units in Rononuncu Village, Poso Selatan District were severely damaged and one elementary school building in Ranononcu Village was slightly damaged.

While on Saturday, May 2, 2020 Pkl. 02.10 WITA The local BPBD also reported that the connecting bridge between Pesisir Utara and Poso Pesisir sub-districts located in Maranda Village, Pesisisr Utara sub-district was cut off.

The efforts made by the BPBD Rapid Reaction Team, Kab. Poso conducted a rapid assessment and coordinated with the Public Works Agency for the construction of emergency bridges and when news was received, the Public Works Office had begun to build an emergency bridge.

On Saturday, 2 May 2020, flooding in Banyusari Village, Lore Utara sub-district was also reported, with material losses as follows:
- 1 unit of house washed away
- 50 houses are submerged
- 2 bridge units collapsed

Floods inundated a number of low-lying areas in Muara Teweh Town, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan. The Barito River overflow during April 29-30 was increasingly widespread with variations ranging from 75 centimeters to 2 meters. Residential areas and roads in Muara Teweh that were flooded included Panglima Batur Street, Merak Street, Dahlia Street, Imam Bonjol Street, Cempaka Putih Street, and Pangeran Antasari Street. In the trade area, shops, hotels and banks were flooded. Roads can hardly be crossed by the community. The road at Km 19 is also totally cut off. As a result, residents activities were disrupted and transportation access was totally paralyzed. In addition to being aware of the Covid-19 outbreak and natural disasters such as floods, the community is also advised to be on the lookout for a disease that is growing rapidly in the rainy season, namely Dengeu Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF)

The road to Nanga Jagau resettlement scheme in the remote area of Kanowit, collapsed and cutting off access to about 2,020 residents from 21 longhouses. The gravel road at Nanga Belasang, located 300 metres from the resettlement area collapsed when one of the culverts was damaged and could no longer channel large quantities of water. Heavy rain for the past few days have caused the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Nanga Jagau inundated with floodwaters at 0.76-metre deep. There is no way out of this place if the road is not repaired. Apart from SK Nanga Jagau other schools in the Kanowit remote area were also flooded, namely SK Nanga Nirok, SK Nanga Balingiau and SK Ulu Poi. Several low-lying areas along Jalan Salim-Sebatau in Sibu were also flooded for about one meter deep and he advised those living in the lowland areas and near river banks to be on alert and prioritise their safety.
