According to the report of the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Lao Cai province, on the evening of September 12, 2023, heavy rain occurred in Lao Cai province, causing flash floods, landslides, and thunderstorms, leaving 9 people dead and 4 missing
As of reporting, the People's Committee of Lao Cai province recently issued a Decision on declaring a disaster emergency situation.
Lao Cai province also mobilized about 300 people to participate in search and rescue;
