According to the report of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Son La, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Dien Bien, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen provinces, heavy rains caused floods and landslides from July 28 to August 2, causing the following damage:
- Regarding people: 11 people died (Ha Giang 02, Son La 01, Dien Bien 02, Cao Bang 02, Thai Nguyen 01, Tuyen Quang 02, Bac Giang 01); 01 person missing (Dien Bien).
- Regarding housing: 70 houses were urgently evacuated; 423 houses were flooded; 868 houses were affected and damaged.
- Regarding agriculture: 4,747 hectares of rice and crops were flooded and affected.
- Regarding livestock and aquaculture: 1,760 livestock and poultry died and were swept away; 45.7 hectares of aquaculture area were affected and damaged.
- Regarding traffic: over 411 traffic points were eroded and blocked with a total volume of over 234,840 m3 of soil, rock, and concrete.
Immediately after the disaster, local authorities visited and encouraged families of victims; mobilized forces to search for missing people, supported people to overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives

According to the report of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Son La, Tuyen Quang, Dien Bien, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen provinces, heavy rains caused floods and landslides from July 28 to August 1, causing the following damage:
- Regarding people: 09 people died, an increase of 01 person compared to the quick report on July 31 (Son La 01 person, Tuyen Quang 02 people; Ha Giang 02 people; Dien Bien 02 people; Thai Nguyen 01 person; Bac Giang 01 person).
- About housing:
+ 63 houses urgently evacuated (Cao Bang 04; Thai Nguyen 57; Dien Bien 01; Tuyen Quang 01);
+ 184 houses were flooded (Thai Nguyen 178; Tuyen Quang 06);
+ 374 houses were affected and damaged (Son La 04; Dien Bien 63; Bac Kan 227; Cao Bang 23; Thai Nguyen 08; Lao Cai 07; Lang Son 26; Tuyen Quang 16).
- Regarding agriculture: 2,467.2 hectares of rice and crops were flooded (Dien Bien 41 hectares; Bac Kan 497 hectares; Cao Bang 25 hectares; Lao Cai 1.3 hectares; Thai Nguyen 1,831 hectares; Tuyen Quang 71.9 hectares).
- Regarding Aquaculture: 33.2 hectares of aquaculture area were affected and damaged (Bac Kan 11.6 hectares; Thai Nguyen 21.6 hectares).
- Regarding traffic: over 297 traffic points were eroded and blocked with a total volume of over 54,725 m3 of soil, rock, and concrete (Cao Bang 2,788; Thai Nguyen 38,217; Dien Bien 2,914; Bac Kan 7,834; Lao Cai 2,072; Lang Son 900).
Immediately after the disaster, local authorities visited and encouraged families of victims; mobilized forces to support people to overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.

According to a quick report from the provinces of Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lang Son and Thai Nguyen, heavy rain, floods and landslides from July 29-30 caused the following damage:
- Regarding people: 06 people died (an increase of 05 people compared to the quick report on July 29): Ha Giang 02, Dien Bien 02, Thai Nguyen 01, Bac Giang 01; 01 person missing (Son La) and 02 people injured (Bac Kan).
- Regarding housing: 82 houses were damaged by landslides, flooding, and damage (an increase of 78 houses compared to the report on July 29): Dien Bien 35, Bac Kan 15, Cao Bang 02, Son La 04, Lang Son 26; 18 houses were urgently evacuated (an increase of 17 houses compared to the report on July 29) in Dien Bien.
- Regarding agriculture: 71.25 hectares of rice were flooded (an increase of 68 hectares compared to the report on July 29): Dien Bien 37.25 hectares, Bac Kan 13 hectares, Cao Bang 21 hectares; 10.9 hectares of crops were flooded, affected, and damaged (Dien Bien 0.4 hectares; Bac Kan 9.8 hectares; Cao Bang 0.7 hectares).
- Regarding livestock: 200 poultry and livestock died (Thai Nguyen).
- Regarding traffic: 51 landslide points with a total volume of soil and rock of about 5,308m3 ( an increase of 35 points and 4,028m3 of soil and rock compared to the quick report on July 29): Dien Bien 1,998m3 , Bac Kan 437m3 , Cao Bang 1,973m3 , Lang Son 900m3 .
