Tropical Storm Wutip has finally made landfall on 30 September afternoon and brought heavy rain and strong wind in the area. Province of Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Binh Tuan, Nghe An and Thua Thien Hue were reportedly affected. Based on the report of CCFSC on 7 October 2013, the Tropical Storm Wutip has caused the following impact: - 14 death - 225 injured - 2 missing - 3,500,000 people were affected - 533 collapsed houses and 193,712 un-roofed (where 156,517 were in Quang Binh) - 30,118 houses were submerged - 626 schools were inundated and 647 houses collapsed - over 52,889 ha of crops and plantation area were damaged. As the mitigation efforts, the Government of Viet Nam has evacuated : - 29,007 families/106,352 people in Thanh Hoa - 5,572 families/217,557 people in Ha Tinh - 4,677 families/25,247 people in Quang Binh - 2,261 families/9,010 people in Nghe An - 13,121 families/43,680 people in Quang Tri As of today, damage assessment is still ongoing.
