Description

On 31 August 2025, 2:00 AM, Low Pressure area (LPA 08h) was monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility
(PAR) and was unlikely to develop into a tropical depression. Meanwhile, LPA 08i was monitored inside the PAR and had
a low potential of developing into a tropical depression. At 8:00 AM, LPA 08h dissipated.
On 01 September 2025, 2:00 PM, the LPA 08i was monitored inside the PAR and still had a low potential of developing
into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
On 02 September 2025, 2:00 AM, the LPA 08i is still being monitored inside the PAR and has a low potential of
developing into a tropical depression. At 8:00 PM, LPA 08i is being monitored inside the PAR and has a medium potential
of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
On 03 September 2025, at 8:00 AM, the LPA inside PAR (08i) developed into Tropical Depression "KIKO", which then
exited PAR at 2:00 PM. TD "KIKO" continues to move northwestward as it approaches southern Japan.
