Description

NDRRMC and DSWD of the Philippines reporting effect of Southwest Monsoon in the western section of Luzon. In addition, the eye of Typhoon SOULIK was located based on all available data at 1,670 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (25.6°N, 137.3°E) [outside PAR] with maximum sustained winds of 150 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 185 km/h. Moving West Northwest 20km/h. Municipalities in Metro Manila National Capital Region, Region I, Region III, CALABARZON, and CAR are affected. In total, 1,112 barangays that housed 395,393 families / 1,592,493 people were affected. A total of 26,614 families / 120,502 people were evacuated. Among those evacuated, 6.618 families / 24,946 people were evacuated in 183 evacuation centers across the affected areas. In addition, DSWD recorded a total of 1,052 houses damaged; i.e. 264 totally damaged and 788 partially damaged.
