Description
Severe flooding has inundated thousands of homes in Kuantan Singingi and Rokan Hilir regency. The Kuantan Batang River that overflowed due to heavy rain has inundated 150 houses in Singingi Hilir district, 830 houses in Kuantan Hilir district and 320 houses in Logas Tanah Darat district. To be included were also 2 swept away houses in Logas Tanda Darat district. Meanwhile, 950 houses were submerged in Rokan Hilir due to flashflood for the first time. Responding to the situation, the Governor of Riau provided food and medicine to the affected community.
