Description
Issued on 22 February 2026 at 4:00 AM, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated
rainshowers or thunderstorms may have caused possible flash floods or landslides
during severe thunderstorms caused by Easterlies in the rest of Mindanao.
On the same day at around 1:00 PM, continuous heavy rainfall brought by Easterlies
caused flash floods in several barangays of Kabacan, North Cotabato.
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) XII, is in close coordination with the Local Government Unit
(LGU) Kabacan, North Cotabato, to assess the needs of the affected population.
A total of 627 families or 2,680 persons are affected in four (4) barangays in
Kabacan, North Cotabato
