Description
Issued on 16 August 2025 at 4:00 PM, the weather advisory indicated partly cloudy
to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, which may have caused
possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms due to localized
thunderstorms across the country.
On the same day, at approximately 5:00 PM, several low-lying barangays in
flood-prone zones in Pikit, North Cotabato experienced flooding due to the heavy
and sustained rainfall brought about by the localized thunderstorms.
On 17 August 2025, at around 5:00 PM, flash floods were also reported in several
low-lying barangays in Libungan, North Cotabato due to heavy rains from localized
thunderstorms.
