Description

Based on the NDRRMC Situation Report no.20 on the status of the effect Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm "Haikui" in the Philippines, reported casualties are 109 death, 4 missing, 14 injured and 62,847 rescued. The event has brought effect to 4,236,151 persons/934,285 families who lived in Region I, III, IV-A, IV-B, VI and NCR (36 cities and 17 provinces). Additionally, 48,784 families/212,632 persons were evacuated in 656 Evacuation Centers. Flooded area covered 59 municipalities/cities in Region III, IV-A and NCR. Currently, 16 roads and 3 bridges were not passable in Region III, IV-A, CAR and NCR. 3,354 unit total destroyed house and 9,608 unit partial damaged house. NDRRMC and related local agencies have responded to the situation, including deployed 19,579 personnel, 699 vehicles and 283 sea crafts for evacuation and Search and Rescue operation. The cost of damaged is estimated to be 72.1 million US$. The initial relief items cost estimated in the amount of 3 million US$. The Tropical Storm HELEN has moved away from the region. Therefore, the threat is declined.
