Tropical Cyclone (TC) MORA has made its landfall on southeast coast of Bangladesh on 30 May 2017 and brought heavy downpour to many areas, including Rakhine, Chin, Magway, Sagaing and Ayeyarwady in Myanmar. Based on the report of the Relief and Resettlement Department, the cyclone has caused damages in Ayeyarwady, Chin and Rakhine State, as the most affected. In total, 4,792 houses were collapsed and 13,595 partially damaged. More than 95% are from Rakhine State. Additionally, 28 hospitals and 325 schools were also affected in Rakhine and Chin States. The Government of Myanmar is leading the relief efforts supported by the in-country humanitarian organisation. Support and assistance are still provided to the affected people.
