According to a report from Quang Ninh province, as of 6:00 AM on July 5th, Storm No. 1 has caused the following damage:
- Regarding homes: 30 houses had their roofs blown off;
- Regarding aquaculture: 600 hectares of aquaculture farms were damaged;
- Other damage: 04 ships in the anchorage area had their anchors broken and drifted away (safely rescued); 850 trees were broken and felled, the gate of the Mui Ngoc Border Guard Control Station collapsed; 02 cars were damaged by collapsing walls and 01 car was submerged in water,…
Local authorities are currently continuing to assess, compile, and summarize the extent of the damage.
Update as of 6 July 2026:
According to a report from Quang Ninh province, as of 5:00 PM on July 6, 2026, Storm No. 1 had caused the following damage:
- Regarding homes: 150 houses had their roofs blown off or were damaged ( an increase of 56 houses compared to the report dated July 5, 2026 ).
- Regarding aquaculture: 866 hectares of aquaculture farms were damaged.
- Regarding agriculture: 43 hectares of rice and 25.5 hectares of industrial crops were damaged.
- Regarding electricity: 65 power poles have been broken or collapsed; 4,000 customers in some areas of Mong Cai 1, Mong Cai 2, and Mong Cai 3 wards are currently without electricity, and the power grid is expected to be fully restored by July 9, 2026.
- Other damage: 36 boats and rafts in the anchorage and shelter area had their anchors broken and drifted away; 1,950 trees were broken or uprooted; the gate of the Mui Ngoc Border Guard Control Station collapsed; 5 cars were damaged; some roads were damaged by landslides.
Estimated economic damage: 20 billion VND.
