This event is under monitoring = = Update as of 3 April 2018 = 1) PHIVOLCS maintains Alert Level 2, meaning the volcano is at moderate level of unrest. Sudden explosions, lava collapses, pyroclastics density currents can still occur and threaten areas in the upper to middle slopes of Mayon. 2) A total of 23,786 families / 91,055 people in 61 Barangays of Albay Province are still affected. 3) As of 3 April 208, DSWD reported that all IDPs from the initial 96 evacuation centers have been decamped. 4) A total of PHP 418,450,648.95 worth of assistance was provided to affected families; of which, 100,694,318.72 came from DSWD, PHP 56,388,107.86 came from LGUs, PHP 57,197,545.08 came from NGOs, and PHP 204,170,677.29 came from other humanitarian assistance providers. 5) A total of PHP 61,973,000 cash-for-work assistance have been provided to affected families. = Update as of 29 March 2018 = 1) PHIVOLCS has downgraded Mayon Volcano status to Alert Level 2, meaning the volcano is at moderate level of unrest. Sudden explosions, lava collapses, pyroclastics density currents can still occur and threaten areas in the upper to middle slopes of Mayon. 2) A total of 23,786 families / 91,055 people in 61 Barangays of Albay Province are still affected. 3) A total of 487 families / 1,930 persons are currently in 5 evacuation centers. A decrease of 3,086 persons from previous weeks, with 4 evacuation centers have stopped operations. 4) A total PHP 480,423,648.95 (USD 9.2 million) worth of assistance has been provided to affected families by DSWD, local government units and NGOs (increased by around PHP 64 million from Week 12). = Update as of 19 March 2018 = 1) PHIVOLCS maintains Alert Level 3 for Mayon Volcano with 6 km radius of Permanent Dangers Zone. This means there is a decreased likelihood of hazardous explosive eruption to occurs. 2) A total of 23,786 families / 91,056 people in 61 Barangays of Albay Province are still affected. 3) A total of 1,300 families / 5,016 persons are currently in 9 evacuation centers; while 330 families / 1,412 persons are staying with families/friends. 4) In specific to social welfare assistance, a total PHP 415,892,522.86 (USD 7.94 million) worth of assistance has been provided to affected families by DSWD, local government units and NGOs (increased by around PHP 9 million from Week 11). 5) DSWD also provided PHP 61,973,000 (USD 1.1 million) Cash-for-Work assistance for affected families. = Update as of 12 March 2018 = 1) PHIVOLCS maintains Alert Level 3 for Mayon Volcano with 6 km radius of Permanent Dangers Zone. This means there is a decreased likelihood of hazardous explosive eruption to occurs. 2) A total of 23,784 families / 91,052 people in 61 Barangays of Albay Province are still affected (decreased by 85 people from Week 10). 3) A total of 1,299 families / 5,013 persons are currently in 9 evacuation centers; while 330 families / 1,412 persons are staying with families/friends. 4) In specific to social welfare assistance, a total PHP 409,398,439.95 (USD 7.8 million) worth of assistance has been provided to affected families by DSWD, local government units and NGOs. Most of the assistance in Week 11 were in the form of family food packs and sleeping kits. 5) DSWD also provided PHP 61,973,000 (USD 1.1 million) Cash-for-Work assistance for affected families. = Update as of 26 February 2018 = 1) Mayon’s activity was characterized by weak lava fountaining, lava effusion and degassing from the summit crater 2) PHIVOLCS maintains Alert Level 4 and 8 km radius of Permanent Danger Zone 3) A total of 23,526 families / 90,148 people in 61 Barangays in Albay Province are still affected (increased by 269 people from Week 07) 4) A total of 16,106 families or 61,886 persons are currently taking temporary shelter in 57 evacuation center (decreased by 211 people from Week 07) 5) A total of PHP 431,706,810.83 worth of assistance has been provided to affected families in Albay Province by DSWD, DOH, OCD, DepEd, DOLE, DENR, PRC, LGUs, I/NGOs, DA, UNFPA, Office of the President and PSCO. = Update as of 18 February 2018 = 1) PHIVOLCS-DOST maintained Alert Level 4 and 8 km permanent danger zone of Mount Mayon. 2) A total of 23,425 families or 89,879 persons in 61 barangays in Albay are affected by the phreatomagmatic eruption of Mount Mayon. 3) A total of 16,376 families or 62,097 persons are currently taking temporary shelter in 57 evacuation centers. 3) A total of PHP 288,384,654.97 worth of assistance has been provided to affected families; of which, PHP 43,860,684.72 came from DSWD, PHP 49,614,791.36 came from LGUs, PHP 33,693,074.44 came from NGOs, and PHP 161,216,104.45 came from other humanitarian assistance providers. 4) A total of 65 schools, 72166 students were affected within the 6-7 km of permanent danger zone. 5) A total of PHP 166,073,749 loss in agriculture has been reported. = Update as of 11 February 2018 = 1) PHIVOLCS-DOST maintained Alert Level 4 remains in effect over Mayon Volcano. The public is strongly advised to be vigilant and desist from entering the eight (8) kilometer-radius danger zone, and to be additionally vigilant against pyroclastic density currents, lahars and sediment-laden stream flows along channels draining the edifice. 2) 23,054 families or 88,528 persons in 61 barangays in Albay are affected by the phreatomagmatic eruption of Mount Mayon. 3) 15,091 families or 56,517 persons are currently taking temporary shelter in 53 evacuation centers 4) 3,113 families or 12,876 persons are currently staying with relatives/friends in Camalig, Daraga, Guinobatan, Malilipot, and Santo Domingo 5) PHP 262,517,237.77 worth of assistance has been provided to affected families; of which, PHP 38,784,960.72 came from DSWD, PHP 48,812,425.36 came from LGUs, PHP 20,918,127.44 came from NGOs, and PHP 154,001,724.25 came from other humanitarian assistance providers including NGAs = Update as of 28 January 2018 = 1) PHIVOLCS-DOST maintains Alert Level 4 for Mount Mayon (hazardous eruption imminent) and the 8-km Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) remains effective 2) Lava fountain, tremors and rockfall were observed on 28 Jan 2018 3) Province of Albay, Region V was declared under the State of Calamity thru Resolution No. 00670-2018 4) 89,109 persons affected / 22,885 families 5) 74 evacuation centers: Sheltering 69,290 persons / 18,255 families. 6) 11,946 persons / 2,822 families are staying with families/friends outside of evacuation centers 7) 49 schools inside the PDZ are affected 8) Cost of damage, agriculture, 189 million PHP (approx. 3.7 million USD) 9) Government assistance worth of 54.6 million PHP (10.7 million USD). Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) is maintained at 6 km radius, with an extended 7 km Extended Danger Zone towards southern direction. 2) DILG and NDRRMC reported a total of 3904 families were preemptively evacuated in Region V. 3) DSWD and NDRRMC reported a total of 9,480 families / 38,939 persons were affected in 36 barangays in 9 cities/municipalities in Province of Albay and currently staying in designated 30 evacuation centers. 4) Class suspensions are active in 6 municipalities in Albay province. 5) A total of PHP 5.5 million worth of assistance was provided by DSWD and local government to affected families in Province of Albay. = Updates as of 14 January 2018 = For the past 24 hours on 13-14 January 2018, Mayon Volcano in Albay Province has noticeably increased its unrest. After three (3) phreatic (steam-driven) eruptions and 158 rockfall events between 4:21 PM 13 January and 7:25 PM 14 January, Mayon’s summit crater is now exhibiting bright crater glow that signifies the growth of a new lava dome and beginnings of lava flow towards the southern slopes. In view thereof, PHIVOLCS-DOST is now raising the alert status of Mayon Volcano from Alert Level 2 to Alert Level 3. This means that Mayon is exhibiting relatively high unrest and that magma is at the crater and that hazardous eruption

Which heavily affected the Regions of MIMAROPA, Region VI, Region VII, Region VIII and CARAGA. Scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains is expected over the areas with TCWS#1 as well as the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Panay Island, Romblon, and Mindoro provinces. Residents of these areas must undertake precautionary measures against possible flooding and landslides and coordinate with their respective local disaster risk reduction and management offices. Sea travel is risky over the areas under TCWS #1 and the seaboards of Northern Luzon and Southern Luzon, eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, eastern and western seaboards of Visayas, and eastern seaboard of Mindanao due to the surge of the Northeast Monsoon and TD "AGATON".

Government records on Internally displaced people (IDPs) show 111,641 persons / 23,775 families are sletered inside 231 evacuation centers; 29,952 persons / 5,938 families evacuated outside of centers with families/friends. In terms of damage, 1,639 houses totally damaged, 998 houses partially damaged in Regions MIMAROPA, IX, X, XI and ARMM In total, cost of damage accounted for 52 million PHP (1.1 million USD) on agriculture and 167.7 million PHP (3.3 million USD) on infrastructure. = Update as of 24 Dec 2017 = Typhoon Tembin (Vinta) has exited Philippines territory. It affected 268,792 persons (59,580 families) in 518 barangays of 21 provinces in 9 Regions MIMAROPA, VII, X, IX, X, XI, XII, ARMM and CARAGA (DSWD). Considering various reports and sources, death toll due to Typhoon Tembin may reach around 180-200 people. DSWD is currently providing relief items and support assistance to Marawi IDPs residing in Lanao del Norte Typhoon Tembin is currently heading towards Viet Nam and expected to make landfall around 25 December 2017. = Initial report on 21 Dec 2017 = TEMBIN (VINTA) has rapidly intensified into a Severe Tropical Storm (STS) and made landfall along the Surigao Del Sur-Davao Oriental Border at around 3am this morning…now traversing the northern part of Compostela Valley. Its intense core is currently bringing strong winds and heavy torrential rains across the area. 24-hr Outlook: STS TEMBIN (VINTA) is expected to continue moving westward at a forward speed of 24 km/hr across Bukidnon, Lanao, and Zamboanga Provinces today. By early Saturday morning (Dec 23), TEMBIN (VINTA) shall emerge over western coast of Zamboanga Peninsula, with a weakened winds of 75 km/hr. The combined effects of the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and STS TEMBIN (VINTA) – will bring moderate to at times heavy/extreme rains and thunderstorms across Eastern Luzon, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Municipalities extending emergency response period for another 1 week: Tasikmalaya city Municipalities alleviating emergency response period: Tasikmalaya regency West Java Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD West Java) reported in total the earthquake caused damage to 9288 houses across the province: 5730 houses light damage, 2417 houses medium damage and 1141 heavily damage. = Initial reports = AHA Centre Disaster Monitoring and Response System (DMRS) triggered “WARNING” alert for a Magnitude 6.9 Earthquake on 15-Dec-2017 23:47:57 (UTC +7) with epicenter located 7.75 South, 108.01 East, at a depth of 105 Km (BMKG). Indonesian BMKG initially activated tsunami warning (ALERT for 2 municipalities & ADVISORY for 8 municipalities) in south of West Java, Central Java and Yogyakarta, which was “CANCELLED” on 16-Dec-2017 02:26 (UTC +7) and no tsunami occurs. = Update as of 18 December 2017 = 1) BNPB has updated the number of damage houses. A total of 3,290 houses are damaged, including 528 heavily damage, 700 moderate damage and 2,062 light damage. 2) BNPB has disbursed on-call budget up to IDR 250 million for cities/regencies declaring emergency response. 3) Emergency response period is still effective for 16-22 December 2017. = Update as of 17 December 2017 = National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) reported the following: 1. There are now 4 recorded casualties, 11 people who have been seriously injured, and 25 people slightly injured. There has been an increase in the recorded number of damaged houses to 2,935 in West Java, Central Java and Yogyakarta, with West Java as the most affected province. Latest data shows 451 heavily damaged houses, 579 medium damaged house and 1,905 slightly damaged house. In terms of a geographical breakdown in Tasikmalaya District there are 1,362 houses damaged (192 heavily damaged, 76 medium damaged, and 1,094 slightly damaged). In Ciamis there are 759 houses damaged (117 heavily damaged, 239 medium damaged, and 403 slightly damaged). In Pangandaran District there are 320 houses damaged (60 heavily damaged, 75 medium damaged and 185 slightly damaged). Also damaged are 46 schools/madrasah (Islamic schools), 38 buildings for religious activities, 9 offices, and 4 hospitals and community health centres. There are approximately 200 people who are temporarily displaced from their homes in Pamarican Sub-District, Ciamis District. 2. The earthquake did not damage vital public facilities such as roads, bridges, electricity, drinking water and other facilities. Data compilation is still continuing with a likelihood that the number of damaged buildings will continue to increase. 3. There four most affected areas: Tasikmalaya City, Tasikmalaya, Ciamis District and Pangandaran districts, are the closest areas to the epicentre of the earthquake, with recorded intensity around V-VI MMI. The head of districts/mayors of those four areas have already issued orders confirming emergency response status for 7 days starting 16/12/2017 to 22/12/2017, which may be extended based on the situation at the field. Head of BNPB led the coordination meeting with the heads of affected districts/cities, BPBD, Ministry of Social Affairs and other government officials in Tasikmalaya and Ciamis. Four priorities are provision of logistics, repair of damaged residential areas, release of funds for immediate response operations and rehabilitation of public infrastructure and facilities. 4. BNPB will provide logistics to districts/cities that have already declared emergency response. BNPB has handed over money from the Ready-to-Use fund of IDR 250 million to those areas to support operations. For rehabilitation of damaged houses the funding will come from the BNPB Stimulant Fund, based on valid verification “by name by address” and a decree from the head of local government, so as to ensure accountability and transparency. 5. BPBDs, TNI, Polri, Basarnas, Ministry of Health, local government offices, Tagana, PMI, volunteers, NGOs and the local community continue to provide emergency response services to the affected people. Current needs are for shelter, tents, volunteers to clean the debris, food, psychosocial support, material to renovate damaged houses and personnel to help renovating/building the damaged house.

Final Update from Philippines Government (NDRRMC and DSWD) Tropical Storm Kai-Tak (Urduja) has exited Philippines Area of Responsibility on 19 Decem ber 2017. In total 425,996 families or 1,780,163 persons are affected in 2,471 barangays in 2,471 barangays of Regions V, VI, VII, VIII, MIMAROPA and CARAGA. A total of 668 families or 2,763 persons are currently staying inside 28 evacuation centers in Regions V, VIII, and MIMAROPA. In addition, A total of 142 families or 710 persons are currently staying with families / friends in Regions VII and VIII. TS Kai-Tak caused 3,062 houses were totally damaged and 16,585 were partially damaged in Regions V, VIII and Caraga. DSWD reported ₱103,346,951.99 worth of assistance has been provided to affected families and individuals; of which, ₱85,659,906.00 came from DSWD, ₱17,661,614.99 from LGUs, and ₱25,431.00 from NGO. = As of 19 December 2017= TS Kai-tak (Urduja) has left the Philippines Area of Responsibility. Most damage are observed in Eastern Visayas with 41 people were killed and 45 others remain missing. = As of 18 December 2017 = It has been reported that 31 dead and 49 are still missing due to Tropical Storm Kai-Tak (Urduja). The NDRRMC, citing data from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), also said 44,369 families fled to 608 evacuation centers in Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Mimaropa, and Caraga. Around 2,900 passengers also remain stranded on Monday, most of them at the Manila North Harbor. This is down from a high of more than 16,000 stranded passengers in various regions over the weekend. Tropical Stork Kai-Tak is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday, December 19, after making landfall in the country 6 times. = As of 17 December 2017 = 3 dead, 19 persons were injured with 20 incidents (landslides/erosion, flooding). 261 areas were flooded. 39 cities/municipalities experienced power outage. 18 houses were partially damaged. Description

Recent floods in three provinces on Sulawesi Island, Indonesia, have left at one dead and 3 missing, with over a dozen homes destroyed and thousands of people displaced. Indonesian Meteorological agency BMKG has issued warnings of potential heavy rain in many parts of Indonesia for the next 2 days at least. Central Sulawesi, Indonesia Indonesia’s Disaster Prevention Agency (BNPB) reported on 05 June that the Tuwelei and Lembe rivers overflowed in Tolitoli Regency on 03 June, leaving some areas under 1 to 3 metres of water. At least one person died and 1 is still missing. The worst hit districts included Lampasio, Baolan, Galang and Dako Pamean. In total over 50,000 households were affected. In Dako Pamean 15 houses and a bridge were completely destroyed and a major road between Tolitoli and Palu City is blocked. Some parts of the regency had seen flooding a few days earlier on after heavy rain on 31 May. Authorities say that the flood water has started to recede. North Sulawesi, Indonesia Heavy rain over the last few days caused rivers to rise in areas around Kotamobagu City on 03 June. Two children are missing after they were swept away by flood water. As of 05 June, authorities were still searching for the missing children. Gorontalo, Indonesia Flood also affected Province of Gorontalo on 02 June 2017. As many as 484 houses were damaged and 2,747 people were affected by flood in Gorontalo District. Additionally, 2,000 people were displaced in Bone Bolango District. BNPB reports that heavy rain caused some rivers to overflow in the province, including the Marisa river near Limboto Barat, the Moloupo river in Limboto and the Monggelomo river in Tibawa sub-district. The flooding has since subsided. In their report, BNPB added that the regular flooding seen in Gorontalo is caused by upland destruction and increased sedimentation in rivers and Lake Limboto. Upstream areas have been converted to agricultural land and a settlement has developed on what was previously a floodplain.
