According to initial reports from the provinces/cities of Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Lam Dong, and Dong Nai, the impact of the tropical depression and heavy rain from September 9-12 caused flooding and damage as follows (data as of 7:00 AM on September 13, 2026) :
- Quang Tri Province:
+ Flooded/Relocated Houses: 59 houses were flooded; 129 households were relocated to safe areas in Lao Bao commune.
+ Transportation: Ten points on roads, bridges, and culverts are flooded, causing localized disruptions in the communes of La Lay, A Doi, Dakrong, Truong Son, and Truong Ninh (water depth from 0.3-0.7m), making it impossible for people and vehicles to pass. Local authorities have mobilized forces, posted warning signs, and prohibited people and vehicles from moving through these areas.
- Da Nang City:
+ Evacuation of residents: 101 households at high risk of landslides in Hung Son, Tay Giang, and Dong Giang communes have been assisted by local forces in moving to safe shelters.
+ The Tuy Loan - La Son expressway experienced minor landslides, not affecting traffic. Several roads (4 points) in 4 communes (Tra Linh, Tra Van, Son Cam Ha, and Que Phuoc) experienced minor landslides, not affecting traffic or travel. Local authorities have deployed forces to monitor and mitigate the consequences.
- Hue City:
+ 01 house affected by landslide; 01 fishing boat sunk by large waves while anchored in Thuan An fishing port area (no casualties).
+ Two landslides occurred on the embankment of National Highway 49 (at Km 67+800 and Km 75+830), with a total volume of approximately 150m3 of soil and rocks; local forces have erected warning signs and carried out initial repairs to ensure traffic flow.
- Quang Ngai Province: 63.2 hectares of rice and crops were flooded and damaged. Provincial road DT.623B, the section passing through Thach Nam culvert, was flooded 0.5m at 6:00 AM on September 12th. Local authorities have posted warning signs to prevent people from passing through the dangerous area.
- Lam Dong Province: Flooding has basically subsided, and transportation routes are now open.
- Dong Nai City: Most households are no longer flooded. Some roads adjacent to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway are still partially flooded with water levels of about 0.6-0.8m, making them impassable for vehicles; local forces are assisting residents with transportation by boat in these areas.
