Description
The Tropical Storm "Talas" has made its landfall and swept through the province of Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh on 17 July at around 01:00 AM. The storm has left trail of destruction in the passed areas. The initial report of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention showed that Nghe An Province was the hardest hit by the storm with one death and 2,751 houses were damaged so as many trees were uprooted. A total of 14 people were also died because of the incident. As of now, the damage assessment is still ongoing. The local authority is also continuously provide assistance to the victims.
