Description

According to a quick report from the provinces of Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, storm No. 5 and heavy rain and storms caused by storm No. 5 have caused damage (as of 7:00 a.m. on August 26) as follows:



- About people: 03 people died (Ninh Binh 01, Nghe An 01, Ha Tinh 01), 13 people were injured (Phu Tho 01, Nghe An 02, Ha Tinh 05, Quang Tri 05).



- Regarding houses: 08 houses collapsed (Ha Tinh 07, Quang Tri 01); 6,808 houses had their roofs blown off or were damaged (Phu Tho 51, Thai Nguyen 97, Ninh Binh 225; Nghe An 91, Ha Tinh: 6,340, Quang Tri 04), 3,094 houses were flooded (Thanh Hoa: 1,935, Nghe An: 30, Ha Tinh 1,129).



- Flooding, isolating 27 villages in 3 communes of Xuan Chinh, Van Xuan, Tan Thanh, Thanh Hoa province.



- About dikes:



+ Landslide on the dike slope on the plain side from K46+445-K45+470 on the right bank of Chu dike, Thanh Hoa province with a length of 25.0m. Currently, the locality has covered the dike with tarpaulin to limit further landslides and is preparing to mobilize forces, materials and means to handle the first hour.



+ At the salinity prevention sluice at position K15+000 of Hoi Thong sea dike, Dan Hai commune, Ha Tinh province, an incident occurred where the sluice gate was stuck, causing water to flow into the fields. Immediately after the incident, the local authorities mobilized forces, materials, and means to promptly handle the first hour, completely blocking the sluice with sandbags, ensuring the safety of the dike.



+ Coastal landslide in Dan Hai commune, about 10m from Hoi Thong dike with a length of about 200m.



- Regarding agriculture: 31,346 hectares of rice were flooded (Ninh Binh 911 hectares, Thanh Hoa 529.4 hectares, Nghe An 6,975 hectares, Ha Tinh 20,802 hectares, Quang Tri 2,108 hectares, Thai Nguyen 12.3 hectares, Phu Tho 4 hectares), 2,716 hectares of crops (Thanh Hoa 22.7 hectares, Nghe An 981 hectares, Ha Tinh 1,673 hectares, Phu Tho 2 hectares, Quang Tri 38.1 hectares), 2,252 hectares of fruit trees (Ha Tinh 2,202 hectares, Nghe An 50.5 hectares) and 19,122 trees were broken (Thanh Hoa 241 hectares, Nghe An 3,068 hectares, Ha Tinh 15,813 hectares).



- Regarding aquaculture: 160 hectares were flooded and overflowed (Nghe An 92, Ha Tinh 6, Quang Tri 7).



- About traffic:



+ Traffic jam: 04 locations in Nghe An (HCM road, National Highway 48D and 02 locations on National Highway 15) due to 40-50cm deep water; 01 location on National Highway 1 in Ha Tinh due to a broken 35KV power pole.



+ There were 06 landslides on rural traffic routes (Thanh Hoa 3, Quang Tri 3) and some localized flooding on traffic routes, 11 underground overflow locations in Thanh Hoa, 9 locations in Nghe An (traffic jam) and in 07 communes of Quang Tri province...



+ On August 25, 30 flights had to change routes, 35 other flights had to be canceled because Dong Hoi and Tho Xuan airports temporarily stopped receiving aircraft.



- About the electrical system:



+ Power outage: 1,627,031 customers (Thanh Hoa: 395,061, Nghe An: 869,785, Ha Tinh: 349,378, Ninh Binh: 11, Phu Tho: 7,015, Quang Ninh: 5,219, Quang Tri 562).



+ 742 electric poles fell (Thanh Hoa 28, Nghe An 418, Ha Tinh 240, Thai Nguyen 17, Phu Tho 4).



Currently, localities are organizing inspections, immediately remedying damage and continuing to review reported data./.

According to quick reports from the provinces of Lao Cai, Son La, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, storm No. 5 and heavy rain, thunderstorms caused by storm No. 5 and floods have caused damage (as of 07:00/27/8) as follows:

- Regarding people: 03 people died (Nghe An 01, Ha Tinh 01, Ninh Binh 01); 05 people missing due to being swept away by floods (Lao Cai 01, Son La 01, Tuyen Quang 01, Thanh Hoa 02); 47 people injured (Lao Cai 02, Ninh Binh 20, Nghe An 02, Ha Tinh 17, Quang Tri 05, Phu Tho 01).

- Regarding houses: 17 houses collapsed (Lao Cai 02, Son La 01, Ninh Binh 05, Ha Tinh 08, Quang Tri 01); 30,807 houses had their roofs blown off or were damaged (Lao Cai 94, Son La 26, Tuyen Quang 21, Phu Tho 250, Thai Nguyen 97, Ninh Binh 437, Thanh Hoa 89, Nghe An 4,848, Ha Tinh 24,879, Quang Tri 66); 3,949 houses were flooded (Thanh Hoa 2,037, Nghe An 783, Ha Tinh 1,129).

- Regarding schools with damaged roofs: 380 schools (Son La 01, Tuyen Quang 01, Thanh Hoa 06, Nghe An 86, Ha Tinh 286).

- Medical facilities with damaged roofs: 44 facilities (Nghe An 09, Ha Tinh 35).

- Cultural works, agency headquarters, and commercial centers had their roofs blown off or were damaged: 72 works (Nghe An 51, Ha Tinh 21).

- Regarding agriculture: Flooding, damage to 92,226 hectares of rice (Lao Cai 83, Son La 35, Bac Ninh 05, Ninh Binh 27,280, Thanh Hoa 4,791, Nghe An 28,024, Ha Tinh 28,552, Quang Tri 2,408, Thai Nguyen 12, Phu Tho 1,036); 10,836 hectares of crops (Lao Cai 8, Son La 32, Ninh Binh 200, Thanh Hoa 941, Nghe An 6,757, Ha Tinh 1,973, Phu Tho 723, Quang Tri 202); 9,727 hectares of fruit trees (Son La 01, Thanh Hoa 33, Nghe An 452, Ha Tinh 9,236, Quang Tri 05).

- Regarding livestock: 48,877 cattle and poultry died or were swept away (Thanh Hoa 1,293, Nghe An 13,623, Ha Tinh 33,961).

- All kinds of trees were broken and felled: 160,357 trees (Thanh Hoa 840, Nghe An 40,424, Ha Tinh 119,093).

- Area of ​​forest broken down: 9,976 ha (Lao Cai 03, Nghe An 9,953, Thai Nguyen 20).

- Industrial trees were broken and damaged: 9,410 hectares (Thanh Hoa 469, Nghe An 2,625, Ha Tinh 6,293, Quang Tri 23).

- Regarding aquaculture: 3,934 hectares were flooded (Phu Tho 12, Ninh Binh 33, Thanh Hoa 1,832, Nghe An 1,374, Ha Tinh 668, Quang Tri 15); 95 cages were swept away and damaged (Nghe An 23, Quang Tri 72).

- Regarding ships: 102 ships were sunk, collided, damaged (Nghe An 27, Ha Tinh 75).

- Regarding irrigation and dykes:

+ There were 06 landslide incidents on the left and right dikes of Chu River, Thanh Hoa Province with a total length of 377m; 01 location of the left dike of Hoat River, Hai Long Commune, Thanh Hoa Province, with a length of 300m. The locality organized to handle the incident in the first hour according to the motto "4 on-site".

+ 2,250 m of river banks and embankments were eroded (Nghe An 2,200, Ha Tinh 50).

+ 4,145m of canals were eroded and washed away (Phu Tho 20, Thanh Hoa 795, Nghe An 3,330); 02 culverts were damaged (Quang Tri).

- Regarding traffic: There were 239 landslides on traffic routes (Son La 15, Bac Ninh 02, Phu Tho 27, Thanh Hoa 105, Nghe An 82, Ha Tinh 04, Quang Tri 04) and some localized flooding on traffic routes, 49 underground overflow locations (Son La 06, Bac Ninh 02, Thanh Hoa 41); 04 culverts were damaged (Nghe An 02, Ha Tinh 02); 06 bridges were damaged and washed away (Nghe An 02, Ha Tinh 04).

- About the electrical system:

+ 03 500KV grid incidents (resolved); 04 220KV grid incidents (resolved); 14 110KV grid incidents (resolved); 3,082 broken power poles (Tuyen Quang 01, Son La 03, Lao Cai 07, Phu Tho 08, Thai Nguyen 17, Ninh Binh 51, Thanh Hoa 114, Nghe An 1,716, Ha Tinh 1,165); 48,191 m of broken power lines.

+ 753,539 customers are without power (Thanh Hoa 51,421, Nghe An 515,683, Ha Tinh 186,270, Quang Tri 165).

Currently, localities are organizing to overcome the consequences and continue to review and synthesize damage data./.
