Description

A landslide has occurred in Mae La Oon Province, Thailand, on 17 September 2018 early morning. The landslide was caused by heavy rain and forest runoff. It affected 654 people / 120 households, which are mostly refugees from Karen State, Myanmar. A total of 13 shelters were damaged. According to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) three people were killed and 12 people were injured.
