Viet Nam, Flooding, Landslides, Storms, and Winds in Lam Dong, Vinh Long, Dong Nai, Ca Mau, Nghe An, and Gia Lai
# In Lam Dong province from September 20-24, 2026 (updated as of 6:00 AM on September 28, 2026)<br>
- Regarding homes: 52 houses were damaged; 2,848 houses were flooded in the former Binh Thuan area due to heavy rain from the night of September 23rd to the afternoon of September 24th; the water has now receded, and no houses are flooded; evacuated and relocated households have returned home.<br>
- Regarding agriculture: 7,540 hectares of rice, vegetables, and other crops were flooded. The water has now receded, with only localized flooding remaining in some low-lying areas.<br>
- Regarding infrastructure: Floods caused inundation, landslides, subsidence, and damage to approximately 22 points on transportation routes, and damaged 7 bridges and culverts, mainly in 20 communes/wards in the province . Currently, the water has receded, and traffic in the localities is flowing smoothly. However, in Kim Binh village, Ham Thang ward, some rural roads are still flooded, making travel difficult; local forces are assisting residents with relocation.<br>

Local authorities are currently continuing to assess and compile a list of damages.<br>

# In Vinh Long:<br>
On the night of September 26, 2026, a landslide occurred, breaching 50 meters of the embankment in the Cai Ga islet area, Cho Lach commune, Vinh Long province, flooding 20 households and 20 hectares of fruit trees; estimated damage is approximately 2 billion VND.<br>
The People's Committee of Cho Lach commune mobilized forces, materials, and equipment to address the incident; inspected and assessed the damage; and deployed personnel to monitor the situation and install warning signs in the landslide area.<br>

# In Dong Nai:<br>
- Regarding casualties: 1 person died (Ms. Tran Thi Bich Lien, born in 1980, residing in Phu Thinh neighborhood, An Loc ward, was swept away by the flood on September 24th while traveling in a Hyundai i10 car).<br>
- Regarding housing: 1 house collapsed, 2 houses had their roofs blown off; some households in Minh Duc, Phuoc Tan, and Trang Dai communes/wards were flooded; the water has now receded and the houses are no longer flooded.<br>

# In Ca Mau from September 19-24, 2026 (Report received September 26, 2026)<br>
- Regarding homes: 5 houses were completely destroyed, 1 house was damaged with its roof blown off; 75 houses were flooded due to heavy rain from September 19th to 24th, but the water has now receded.<br>
- Regarding agriculture and livestock: 7,433 hectares of rice and other crops were flooded; 823 hectares of aquaculture farms were flooded and damaged<br>

# In Nghe An<br>
- September 25th: One person sustained minor injuries from a lightning strike.<br>

# In Gia Lai: On September 23, heavy rain caused landslides and siltation in the drainage system, affecting several households in the Hai Bac residential area, Quy Nhon Dong ward, and caused a 50m landslide along the stream bank in Van Duc commune.
