Description

Triggered by heavy rainfall on September 21, 2026, at 19:30, flash flooding occurred in Nagari Batang Barus, Kecamatan Gunung Talang, Kabupaten Solok. The situation has led to significant human and material losses, with 2 fatalities, 1 serious injury, and 3 minor injuries reported. Approximately 463 individuals have been displaced, taking refuge in various locations including the official residences of local government officials and a mosque. The material damage includes 17 heavily damaged houses, 11 moderately damaged houses, and 39 lightly damaged houses, along with damage to public facilities and infrastructure.
