On 07 July 2022, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) experienced cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the prevailing Southwest Monsoon that caused flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms resulting in the displacement of families and individuals in the area.

A total of 1,100 families or 4,605 persons are affected in 10 barangays in CAR.

A total of 13 families or 23 persons sought temporary shelter at the Poblacion Multipurpose Building in Poblacion, Banaue, Ifugao (see Table 2). All of these families have returned home. There are three (3) families or 12 persons temporarily staying with their relatives and/or friends. There are three (3) families or 12 persons taking temporary shelter either in evacuation centers or with their relatives and/or friends. A total of 1,083 houses were damaged; of which, four (4) are totally damaged and 1,079 are partially damaged in Ifugao.

A total of ₱3,170,651.08 worth of assistance was provided to the affected families; of which, ₱1,954,945.08 was provided by the DSWD, ₱215,706.00 from the Local Government Units (LGUs) and ₱1,000,000.00 from the NGOs.

Progress Report No. 3 for the Effects of Southwest Monsoon in CAR

On 07 July 2022, at around 4:45 PM, heavy rains with strong winds caused by the Southwest Monsoon were experienced in the region. This resulted in flash flood and landslide incidents in Ifugao and Mountain Province.

- 1,054 families/3,166 persons affected in 10 barangays. 2 families / 4 persons are still taking shelter in 1 EC, while 5 families / 17 persons are staying with their relatives or friends.
- 6 injured persons
- 5 roads affected
- 1 municipality with power interruption
- 1,048 damaged houses (1,044 partially / 4 totally)

- 10 damaged infrastructures amounting to PhP500,000.00

On 7 July 2022, at around 4:45 PM, a flash flood occurred caused by heavy rains accompanied by strong winds. It resulted to the loss of properties, housing, agricultural crops, and support facilities as well as infrastructure in the Municipality of Banaue. As of 10:54 PM, Bontoc-Banaue road was cleared and reported passable by the Banaue MPS.
