Description

Shallow low pressure areas (SLPAs) were affecting Mindanao and Luzon on 12 and 13 of June 2012. A total of 7 natural disaster incidents were occurred due to SLPA to include 5 flashfloods, 1 landslide, and 1 storm surge. Landslide occur in Davao City (Region XI) Flashfloods occur in Bukidnon ( Region X), Sarangani, North Cotabato, and Sultan Kudarat (Region XII) Storm Surge occur in Sarangani Based on the NDRRMC progress report dated 19 June 2012, the casualties are as follow: 4 deaths, 2 injured, 13 missing, and 368 rescued due to flashfloods and landslides. 283 houses were affected due to flooding, storm surge, and landslide, in which 165 were totally damaged. 1 office damaged in Davao City, Two (2)national bridges damaged in Sultan Kudarat, and it was estimated a total agricultural loss of 48K USD (Crops and livestocks) in Sarangani
