Description
Typhoon NARI has struck northern part of Philippines, bringing heavy downpour and strong wind to the area. The affected region to include: I, II, III, IV-A, V and CAR. Based on the NDRRMC report no.7, the typhoon has caused: - 13 death - 32 injured - 7 missing - 154,766 families or 747,353 people were affected in 4 cities of Region I, II, III and IV-A. - 96,229 people were displaced where 6,561 people stayed inside 42 evacuation centres - 44,151 houses were damaged - remain flooded area are Bulacan and Pampanga - 4 roads and 3 bridges were still impassable (as of 13 Oct 2013) - 68 millions USD worth of damage to Agriculture in Aurora and Nueva Ecija Province - Cost of damage: 68,1 million USD RESPONSE - 200,000 USD worth of relief assistance were provided to the affected families by the government. - NDRRMC is under RED ALERT STATUS and continuously monitor and disseminate weather bulletin and advisories - DSWD prepositioned relief items and standby fund in worth of 3 million USD
