Low Pressure Area (LPA) in the southern Philippines which developed into Tropical Depression, namely AGATON, has triggered landslide and flood incident in Region 9,10,11,CARAGA and ARMM. IMPACT as of 1 February 2014: - 70 death - 9 missing - 86 injured - 244,344 families/1,148,621 people have been affected - 11,621 people were in the evacuation centre - 3,482 houses were damaged - over 12,226 ha of agricultural crops were damaged - Cost of damage: 12 million USD - Cost of assistance: 1.8 million USD RESPONSE - NDRRMC continue to monitor the situation and disseminate the alert and warning - PDMRRMC and other responding agencies conducted pre-emptive evacuation and provided assistance to the communities
