Description

Due to Low Pressure Area at Intertropical Convergence Zone, affecting Mindanao area, causing continuous heavy rain that triggered flooding in 3 Provinces in Mindanao. Based on NDRRMC situation report no.4 on 11 January 2012, the affected area include: - Region: XI Province: Compostela Valley Municipalities: Montevista, Pantukan - Region: XII Province: South Cotabato, Sarangani City/Municipality: General Santos City, Norala, Glan - Region: XIII Province: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Sur City/Municipality: Butuan City, San Luis, Malimono This event create impact as follow: - 1,547 families or 4,965 people were affected - 117 families or 585 persons currently served inside six (6) evacuation centres NDRRMC operation centre is on "Red alert" status and continuously monitor and disseminat the weather information data RDRRMC and MDRRMC, conducted the relief and emergency operations.
