Description

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) has increased the rain intensity and thunderstorm in Philippines area, triggering flooding and landslide in Region VI, VII, IX and XII. Western and Central Visayas, Palawan and Mindanao were reportedly affected. IMPACT - 10 death - 14,717 families/64,136 people were affected in 9 cities - 13,595 families/58,756 people were displaced, among them 24,251 people stayed inside 63 evacuation centre - 235 damaged houses RESPONSE - The Government provided assistance - Cost of assistance: 60,000 USD
