Update as of 11 February 2018 = National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) consolidated reports from various agencies and informed the following: 1) 184,278 families or 871,757 persons are affected still affected in 1,215 barangays in Regions MIMAROPA, VII, IX, X, XI, XII, CARAGA, and ARMM. 2) 1,671 families / 7,568 persons are still being served in 22 evacuation centers. 3) Confirmed casualties: 44 dead, 18 injured, 14 missing. Casualties under validation: 129 death reported and 155 persons missing 4) A total of 4,006 houses were totally damaged and 5,574 were partially damaged in Regions MIMAROPA, IX, X, XI and ARMM. 5) A total of PHP 158 million of assistance was provided by Department of Agriculture, OCD, DSWD, LGUs and NGOs = Update as of 4 February 2018 = National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) consolidated reports from various agencies and informed the following: 1) 167,396 families or 797,337 persons are affected in 1,179 barangays in Regions MIMAROPA, VII, IX, X, XI, XII, CARAGA, and ARMM. 2) Casualties update (confirmed): 44 dead, 18 injured, 14 missing people in Regions IX, XI, CARAGA and ARMM. For validation: 129 people were reported dead and 155 people still missing 3) 4,053 families / 19,369 persons are currently being served inside 24 evacuation centers 4) 9,361 houses were damaged (4,179 totally / 5,182 partially) 5) A total of PHP 2.1 billion worth of damages to agriculture and infrastructure was incurred in Regions MIMAROPA, VIII, IX, X, X, XII, CARAGA and ARMM 6) A total of PHP 43.6 million worth of assistance was provided by DSWD, LGUs, and NGOs to the affected families in Regions MIMAROPA, IX, X, XI and CARAGA = Update as of 12 January 2018 = Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reported the following updates: 1) 167,368 families or 789,502 persons are affected in 1,181 barangays in Regions MIMAROPA, VII, IX, X, XI, XII, CARAGA, and ARMM. 2) A total of 8,622 families or 42,178 persons are currently staying inside 41 evacuation centers in Regions MIMAROPA, IX, X, XII, and ARMM. 3) A total of 4,470 families or 22,464 persons are currently staying with families / friends in Regions IX, X, and XII. 4) Upon validation, 4,003 houses were totally damaged and 4,061 were partially damaged by the onslaught of STS Vinta in Regions MIMAROPA, IX, X, XI, and ARMM. 5) ₱38,726,075.45 worth of assistance has been provided to affected families and individuals; of which, ₱26,718,2025.45 came from DSWD, ₱11,696,050.00 from LGUs, ₱312,000.00 from other organizations. = Update as of 27 Dec 2017 = Upon ongoing validation, Typhoon Tembin (Vinta) recorded of having affected 673,429 persons / 143,188 families. Most of them are from Regions MIMAROPA, VII, IX, X, XI, XII, ARMM and CARAGA. Until to date, it has been reported the death of 164 persons and 176 persons are still missing. Government records on Internally displaced people (IDPs) show 111,641 persons / 23,775 families are sletered inside 231 evacuation centers; 29,952 persons / 5,938 families evacuated outside of centers with families/friends. In terms of damage, 1,639 houses totally damaged, 998 houses partially damaged in Regions MIMAROPA, IX, X, XI and ARMM In total, cost of damage accounted for 52 million PHP (1.1 million USD) on agriculture and 167.7 million PHP (3.3 million USD) on infrastructure. = Update as of 24 Dec 2017 = Typhoon Tembin (Vinta) has exited Philippines territory. It affected 268,792 persons (59,580 families) in 518 barangays of 21 provinces in 9 Regions MIMAROPA, VII, X, IX, X, XI, XII, ARMM and CARAGA (DSWD). Considering various reports and sources, death toll due to Typhoon Tembin may reach around 180-200 people. Evacuations: 13,491 families / 57,768 persons are currently residing in 202 evacuation centres in 6 regions (MIMAROPA. VII, IX, X, XI and Caraga). A total of 3,832 families/19,187 persons in Region X, XI and CARAGA are evacuating outside of centres (DSWD). DSWD is currently providing relief items and support assistance to Marawi IDPs residing in Lanao del Norte Typhoon Tembin is currently heading towards Viet Nam and expected to make landfall around 25 December 2017. = Initial report on 21 Dec 2017 = TEMBIN (VINTA) has rapidly intensified into a Severe Tropical Storm (STS) and made landfall along the Surigao Del Sur-Davao Oriental Border at around 3am this morning…now traversing the northern part of Compostela Valley. Its intense core is currently bringing strong winds and heavy torrential rains across the area. 24-hr Outlook: STS TEMBIN (VINTA) is expected to continue moving westward at a forward speed of 24 km/hr across Bukidnon, Lanao, and Zamboanga Provinces today. By early Saturday morning (Dec 23), TEMBIN (VINTA) shall emerge over western coast of Zamboanga Peninsula, with a weakened winds of 75 km/hr. The combined effects of the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and STS TEMBIN (VINTA) – will bring moderate to at times heavy/extreme rains and thunderstorms across Eastern Luzon, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao.
