On 21 October 2024, 12:00 AM, the Tropical Depression has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility and was
named “KRISTINE”. At 5:00 PM, “KRISTINE” slightly decelerates while moving westward over the Philippine Sea. At
10:00 PM, the center of Tropical Depression KRISTINE was estimated at 1,050 km East of Southeastern Luzon (13.6 °N,
133.9 °E) with a maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h and moving
Westward at 25 km/h. At 11:00 PM, “KRISTINE” maintained its strength as it accelerates westward.
On 22 October 2024, 2:00 AM, “KRISTINE” intensified into Tropical Storm. At 5:00 PM, TS “KRISTINE” slightly
intensified over the Philippine Sea east of Bicol. At 11:00 PM, “KRISTINE” maintained its strength as it moves
northwestward over the sea of East of Bicol Region. TCWS NO. 1 and 2 are still in effect in some parts of Luzon, Visayas,
and Mindanao.
On 23 October 2024, at 4:00 AM, The center of Tropical Storm KRISTINE was at 340 km East of Infanta, Quezon or 180
km North Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes (15.1°N, 124.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center,
gustiness of up to 105 km/h, and central pressure of 985 hPa. Moving west northwestward at 25 km/h.
