Description
Continuous rain over the last three days has caused flashflood in Mamasa. The overflow of Batanguru river has killed 15 people in East Batanguru village, district of Mamasa. Moreover, 2 people were reported missing and 2 people were injured due to the incident. As reported by the Mamasa Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the other losses were 2 houses and 1 vehicle swept away and 4 houses severely damaged. Considering the significant impact of the disaster, the Provincial Disaster Management Agency is now in cooperation with Mamasa BPBD to conduct emergency response until 21 November 2012. To date, the damage and losses data are yet being collected.
