Description

Floods and landslides (from Tropical Storm Nong Fa)
Due to the influence of Tropical Storm Nong Fa, heavy rains have occurred since 30 August and present. Flooding has occurred in 6 provinces (Lampang, Phetchabun, Kalasin, Nong Bua Lamphu, Khon Kaen, and Phuket). 22 districts, 67 sub-districts, and 171 square meters have been affected. Initially, 864 households and 3,197 people have been affected. No injuries or fatalities have been reported.
Currently, flooding continues in 5 provinces (Lampang, Phetchabun, Kalasin, Nong Bua Lamphu, and Khon Kaen). 20 districts, 65 sub-districts, and 169 square meters have been affected. 864 households and 3,197 people have been affected, as follows:

1) In Lampang Province, on August 31 heavy rain caused flooding in 1 district, 3 sub-districts, and 5 villages, as follows:
Mae Phrik District (3 sub-districts and 5 villages). Initially, 35 households and 130 people were affected, with no injuries or fatalities. The Lampang Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center, the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, the District Wildlife Sanctuary, police, local administrative organizations, volunteers, volunteers, and foundations have assessed the damage and provided assistance. Water levels are currently receding. Rainfall in Thoen District: 176.0 mm in 24 hours.

2) Phetchabun Province: On August 31 heavy rain caused rivers to overflow and flood 3 districts, 12 sub-districts, 38 m2, and 1 municipality, as follows: Lom Kao District (8 sub-districts, 27 m2), Nam Nao District (2 sub-districts, 9 m2), and Lom Sak District (2 sub-districts, 2 sub-districts, 1 municipality, 11 communities). Initially, 592 households, 2,190 people, were affected, along with one road and one bridge.
There were no injuries or fatalities. The Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, the Provincial Irrigation Office, the district, police, local administrative organizations, volunteers, and volunteers from the Defense Volunteers Foundation, along with relevant agencies, surveyed the damage and provided initial assistance. Currently, the river... Water levels in Pa Sak District rose. 24-hour rainfall in Chon Daen District reached 108.5 mm.

3) Kalasin Province: On August 31 heavy rain caused flooding and landslides in 6 districts, 22 tambons, and 78 m², as follows: Somdet District (4 tambons, 11 m²), Khao Wong District (5 tambons, 16 m²), Kuchinarai District (3 tambons, 6 m²), Huai Phueng District (4 tambons, 31 m²), Nakhu District (3 tambons, 9 m²), and Namon District (3 tambons, 3 m²). Initially, one household with four people was affected (caused by the landslide).
Flooding occurred on road surfaces and agricultural land, resulting in approximately 2,795 rai of damage. No injuries were reported. No fatalities were reported. The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center, Region 6, Khon Kaen, the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, district officials, police, local administrative organizations, volunteers, volunteers, and foundations, along with relevant agencies, surveyed the damage, facilitated traffic flow, and expedited drainage of water from the area. Water levels are currently receding. 24-hour rainfall in Khong Chai District is 41.0 mm.

4) Nong Bua Lamphu Province: On August 31 heavy rain caused flooding in 5 districts, 16 sub-districts, and 20 square meters.
1 municipality and 7 communities: Mueang District (5 sub-districts, 7 square meters, 1 municipality, 7 communities), Sri Bun Rueang District (3 sub-districts, 5 square meters), Non Sang District (4 sub-districts, 4 square meters),
Suwannakhuha District (3 sub-districts, 3 square meters), and Na Wang District (1 sub-district, 1 square meter). Initially, 85 households, 315 people, were affected.
32 roads and 2 temples were affected. No injuries or fatalities were reported. The Udon Thani Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center, Region 14, and the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, along with district officials, police, local administrative organizations, volunteers, volunteers, and foundation volunteers, Relevant agencies surveyed the damage, moved items to higher ground, facilitated traffic flow, and expedited drainage. The water level is currently rising.

24-hour rainfall in Mueang District: 140.0 mm.

5) Khon Kaen Province: On August 31 heavy rain caused flooding in 5 districts, 12 sub-districts, and 28 m.

Phu Pha Man District, Ban Phai District, Nam Phong District, Chum Phae District, and Si Chomphu District. Initially, 151 households and 559 people were affected. There were no injuries or fatalities. The Khon Kaen Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center, the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, and the district offices, along with police, local administrative organizations, volunteers, volunteers, and foundations, along with relevant agencies, surveyed the damage and provided initial assistance.

The water level is currently rising. 24-hour rainfall in Waeng Noi District: 79.4 mm.
