Description

Issued on 26 October 2025 at 4:00 AM, cloudy skies with scattered rains or
thunderstorms due to a Low Pressure Area (LPA) may have caused possible flash
floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains over Visayas,
Mindanao, Bicol Region, and Palawan.
On the same day at around 5:00 PM, several barangays in San Enrique, Iloilo
experienced flooding due to continuous heavy rainfall brought by the LPA.
On 27 October 2025 at around 9:00 AM, several municipalities in the Province of
Aklan also experienced flooding due to persistent heavy rains associated with the
LPA embedded with the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) VI, is closely coordinating with the affected Local Government
Units (LGUs) for significant updates and any requests for relief augmentation to
address the needs of the affected communities.
