Description
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affected Bicol Region, Visayas and Mindanao. The weather system brought moderate to heavy rain intensity and thunderstorms that triggered flashflood and landslide in the affected areas.
The reported incidents and impacts are as follows:
1. Flooding in Davao region.
2. Landslide in Quezon, Bukidnon.
3. Landslide in Sergio Osmena, Zamboanga del Norte.
4. Landslide in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay Provice
IMPACT
Total casualty numbers are:
- 794 affected families (775 families in Davao and 19 families/95 people in Sergio Osmena)
- 4 death and 2 missing
- 16 damaged houses
RESPONSE
- Local government with the responding agencies are in cooperation in relief operations.
