Indonesia, Flooding and Landslide in Mamuju Regency (West Sulawesi)

➢ Chronology: On Monday, July 1 2024, there was very heavy rain in Papalang District and Sampaga District which lasted for 4 hours starting at 15.00 WITA and at 05.00 WITA, resulting in the overflow of the river in Wanua Baru Hamlet, Papalang District which submerged the Trans Kalukku road , Tarailu and residents' houses are knee-high to adults.

- Toabo Village
- Salukayu Village
● Sampaga District
- Kalonding Village

➢ Casualties:
289 families were affected, with the following details:
- Toabo Village: 119 families affected
- Salukayu Village: 70 families affected
- Kalonding Village: 100 families affected

➢ Material Losses:
- 1 village office affected
- 2 preschool schools affected
- 1 posyandu
- 1 village health center affected

➢ Effort:
- Mamuju Regency BPBD coordinates with the government
local.
- Carrying out assessments and making incident reports.
