Flood in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province
➢ Chronology: Triggered by moderate to high intensity rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 15:32 WITA lasting until 17:00 WITA in Bima Regency and its surroundings,
➢ Location: (3 Sub-districts / 5 Villages) ● Monta Sub-district - Simpasai Sub-district ● Woha Sub-district - Pandai Sub-district ● Lambu Sub-district - Rato Sub-district - Kaleo Sub-district - Montabaru
➢ Casualties: ● 650 families affected with details: - Rato Village: 200 families affected - Monta Baru Village: 56 families affected - Sumi Village: 394 families affected - (data collection)
➢ Material Losses: ● 650 housing units affected ● ± 4 provincial road accesses and residential roads affected ● 1 national road access across Sumbawa-Bima affected ● Agricultural land, fishery land (fish ponds) of residents and public infrastructure affected (still in the data collection process)
➢ Efforts: ● Bima Regency BPBD Coordinates with the Sub-district Head, Police Chief, Koramil and local villages related to the impact and conducts observations, data collection and rapid assessments as well as emergency disaster management for the affected areas and the data collection process. ● Bima Regency BPBD Bima Coordinate further with related agencies regarding the impact and handling and its authority. ● The community also remains vigilant against extreme weather and disasters that occur such as flash floods, tornadoes and landslides, drought and rabies outbreaks and forest and land fires, and report directly to the Bima Regency BPBD, Sub-district Office and Village Office and Babinsa, local Babinkamtibmas. ● Bima Regency BPBD coordinates with the local village, sub-district officials, related agencies in the region and at the NTB provincial level.
➢ Urgent Needs: ● Logistical assistance for flood victims, clean water and health workers.
➢ Status: ● The Regent of Bima has set the Emergency Transition Status to Hydrometeorological Natural Disaster Recovery in the Bima Regency area in 2025 with Number: 188.45/83/07.4 YEAR 2025 TMT dated February 18, 2025 to December 31, 2025.
➢ Current Condition: Sunday, March 30, 2025 ● Simpasai Village and Pandai Village: the flood has gradually receded with a TMA of ± 20 - 50 cm ● Rato Village & Sumi Village: the flood has gradually receded and residents are cleaning the mud and there are no evacuations due to the flood. ● Kaleo Village & Monta Baru Village: the flood has receded and residents are rescuing the remaining onions that were submerged in the flood
