Description

According to the Quick Report of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Bac Kan province, on the night of May 21 and early morning of May 22, a landslide occurred in a residential house in Phieng Puc village, Hiep Luc commune, Ngan Son district, burying 03 people, later reported dead

According to the Quick Report of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Quang Nam, Binh Thuan, and Long An provinces, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, and landslides from May 20-21 caused the following damage:

- Regarding people: 02 people died ( Long An) and 01 person was injured (Quang Nam) due to lightning;

- Return home: 06 houses were damaged (Binh Thuan);

- Regarding agriculture: 52 hectares of rice fields were flooded (Binh Thuan);

- Other damage: 02 passenger cars, 09 motorbikes buried in sand (Binh Thuan)

According to a quick report of the Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Long An province, on May 23 in the area along the Vam Co Tay river, hamlet 1, My Thanh commune, Thu Thua district, a landslide occurred with a length of about 260m, encroaching About 10m deep from the edge of the riverbank into people's houses, causing two houses to sink. Currently, local authorities have posted warning signs and set up barricades to limit people's movement, while mobilizing forces to help people overcome the consequences
According to a quick report of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Hoa Binh province, heavy rain in Tan Lac district on May 24 caused the following damage:

- Regarding housing: 08 houses were affected by landslides;

- Regarding agriculture and fisheries: 33 hectares of rice and crops were damaged; 0.55 hectares of fish pond area was flooded;

- Regarding irrigation and transportation: 199m of canals were damaged and buried; 20 rural traffic points were eroded with about 905m3 of soil and rock.

Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, local authorities mobilized forces to temporarily overcome traffic jams to ensure travel for people.
