According to the Quick Report of the Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control in the provinces of Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, and Binh Duong: from June 17-18, heavy rain with thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning and gusts of wind strong in the provinces causing damage:
- People: 05 people died (Bac Kan: 04; Ha Giang: 01), an increase of 01 person compared to the report on June 18 in Ha Giang province[1]; 01 person was injured (Binh Duong);
- Houses: 03 houses had to be relocated urgently (Ha Giang); 36 houses were damaged and had their roofs blown off (Bac Kan: 19; Tuyen Quang: 01; Cao Bang: 10; Thai Nguyen 05; Binh Duong: 01);
- Agriculture: 65.1 hectares of rice and crops were damaged (Bac Kan: 11.6; Ha Giang: 1.8; Cao Bang: 50.5; Thai Nguyen: 1.2);
- Livestock: 400 poultry died (Thai Nguyen);
- Roads: Landslides at 03 points caused local traffic jams on national highways QL2C, QL279, QL280 (Tuyen Quang); 20 points were eroded on inter-district and inter-village roads (Cao Bang: 04; Bac Kan: 06; Tuyen Quang: 10). Currently, the landslides causing congestion have opened to traffic; Particularly, some inter-village landslides in Tuyen Quang province are still blocked and localities are focusing on overcoming them;
- Other damage: 09 headquarters and school sites were damaged and their roofs were blown off (Cao Bang 01; Thai Nguyen 09); 11 electric poles were broken (Cao Bang 01; Thai Nguyen: 10); 01 transformer station was damaged (Thai Nguyen).
Immediately after the natural disaster, the local government visited the families of the victims; Organize inspection and mobilize forces to help people overcome damage.
