Storm warnings have been reported for parts of northern Vietnam on 22 April 2020. Affected areas include North, North Central, and Central. Reports indicate that at least 3 people have died, and at least 6,000 homes have been damaged. According to the media, fatalities occurred in Ha Giang, Son La and Yen Bai as a result of wind damage, collapsing buildings or lightning strike. The worst affected provinces are Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Yen Bai, and Son La provinces.
