Viet Nam, Storms, Floods, Landslides, and Strong Winds in Lai Chau, Dien Bien, and Can Tho

According to quick reports from the provinces and cities of Lai Chau, Dien Bien, and Can Tho, heavy rain, thunderstorms, and landslides from July 11th to 12th caused the following damage:
- Human casualties: 1 death, swept away by floodwaters while crossing a culvert at Km1+200, Provincial Road 130, Tan Phong Ward, Lai Chau Province (Mr. Vang A Lu, born in 2007, residing in Giang Ma Then Chai village, Ta Leng commune, Lai Chau province).

- Houses: 26 houses damaged, roofs blown off (4 in Dien Bien, 22 in Can Tho).

- Agriculture: 3.2 hectares of rice, crops, and plants damaged in Lai Chau.

- Other damage: 50 meters of irrigation canals damaged by landslides in Lai Chau.

Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, local authorities mobilized forces to search for missing persons, assist with funerals, and help people overcome the consequences and quickly stabilize their lives.
