According to the Quick Report of the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Cao Bang province, heavy rain, flooding, landslides, and land subsidence from August 22-24, 2024 caused the following damage:
- Regarding houses: 01 house completely collapsed and 461 houses were affected and damaged (an increase of 462 houses compared to the report on August 23, 2024).
- Regarding agriculture: 01 hectare of crops was buried and swept away; 1,319 hectares of rice and crops were flooded; 15 livestock and 251 poultry were damaged (an increase of 01 hectare of crops buried and swept away; 1,173.99 hectares of rice and crops were flooded; 15 livestock and 251 poultry compared to the report on August 23, 2024).
- Regarding traffic: 69 rural traffic routes in the districts suffered landslides (an increase of 63 routes compared to the report on August 23, 2024).
- Other damages: 02 cultural houses were damaged by landslides; 03 structures were broken and buried; 01 medium voltage electric pole was collapsed (increased compared to the report on August 23, 2024).
Immediately after the disaster occurred, local authorities directed the organization to put up warning signs, assigned guards, and mobilized forces to support people in overcoming the consequences.

According to the Quick Report of the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of the provinces of Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, heavy rain, tornadoes, and landslides from August 22-23, 2024 caused the following damage:
- Regarding people: 01 person missing due to being swept away by flood while riding a motorbike across the overflow bridge in Tan Cuong commune, Thai Nguyen city (identity not yet determined);
- At home: 03 houses had their roofs blown off (Tay Ninh); 38 households were urgently evacuated due to the risk of landslides (Thai Nguyen);
- Regarding agriculture: 02 hectares of crops were damaged (Vinh Phuc); 307.4 hectares of rice and crops were flooded (Cao Bang 145.8; Thai Nguyen 161.6);
- Regarding traffic: 07 locations were eroded and damaged (Cao Bang 06, Lam Dong 01);
- Other damage: 04 electric poles, 123m of fence collapsed and some houses were flooded (Thai Nguyen).
Immediately after the disaster occurred, local authorities put up warning signs, assigned guards, mobilized forces to support people in overcoming the consequences, and urgently searched for victims.
