Description
According to a preliminary report from the Dong Thap Provincial Civil Defense Command, heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning on the evening of April 19 caused the following damage:
- Regarding homes: 49 houses had their roofs blown off (17 houses had their roofs completely blown off).
- Regarding education: One school had its roof blown off, affecting five classrooms.
Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, local authorities mobilized forces to assist people in overcoming the consequences and quickly stabilizing their lives; they also compiled statistics and assessed the damage.
