According to the Quick Report of the Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control in the provinces of Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Phu Tho and Quang Ninh, as of 6:00 p.m. on the 21st. April 2024, damage caused by rain accompanied by thunderstorms and tornadoes occurring from the night of April 19 to April 21 is as follows:

+ 08 people were injured (an increase of 05 people compared to the quick report on April 20): Yen Bai 02; Son La 03; Phu Tho 01; Ha Giang 02.
- Regarding housing: 6,891 houses collapsed, damaged, or had their roofs blown off (an increase of 5,084 houses compared to the quick report on April 20): Lao Cai 31; Tuyen Quang 117; Yen Bai 150; Cao Bang 903; Son La 3,477; Bac Kan 829; Phu Tho 891; Ha Giang 378; Lang Son 08; Quang Ninh 04; Thai Nguyen 103.
- Regarding education: 53 schools had roofs blown off and damaged (Lao Cai: 01; Bac Kan: 04; Cao Bang 03; Phu Tho: 19; Ha Giang: 04; Thai Nguyen: 01).
- Regarding agriculture: 1,556.6 hectares of rice and crops were affected and damaged (an increase of 1,040.7 hectares compared to the quick report on April 20); 79.81 hectares of bananas were broken and collapsed.
- Regarding forestry and industrial trees: 202.9 hectares were broken and damaged.
- Regarding livestock and fisheries: 18 cattle and 2,500 poultry died; 0.4 tons of fish were damaged; 109 barns had their roofs blown off and were damaged.
- Regarding other projects: 26 agency headquarters, 11 factories; 07 cultural houses had their roofs blown off and damaged; 17 telecommunications poles, 29 lighting and decoration poles, 199 electric poles were broken, collapsed, or damaged; 809 residential structures were damaged and some trees were broken. Particularly in Phu Yen district (Son La), there was a district-wide power outage due to damage to the 110 power line system (expected to be repaired on April 22).
