According to the Quick Report of the Steering Committee of the Disaster Prevention and Control Office of the provinces of Son La, Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thanh Hoa and Quang Tri, from the evening of April 17 to the early morning of April 18, thunderstorms occurred. , tornadoes, and hail cause the following damage:

- About people: 02 people missing (Lai Chau) (no change compared to the report on April 18).

- Back home: 5,508 houses collapsed, damaged, or had their roofs blown off (an increase of 160 houses compared to the quick report on April 18): Son La: 14, Lai Chau: 140, Lao Cai 168 (an increase of 55), Ha Giang 1,732, Tuyen Quang 182, Cao Bang 2,412, Bac Kan 600 (up 24), Thanh Hoa 179, Quang Tri 81 (up 81).

- Regarding agriculture: 3,225.5 hectares of rice, crops, and perennial crops were damaged (an increase of 264.5 hectares compared to the quick report on April 18): Son La 124 hectares, Lao Cai 198 hectares (an increase of 155), Ha Giang 1,540.5 hectares, Tuyen Quang 296 hectares, Cao Bang 792 hectares, Bac Kan 215 hectares (up 49.5), Quang Tri 60 hectares (up 60).
