Description
According to a quick report of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of An Giang and Tay Ninh provinces, on May 16-17, heavy rain, thunderstorms and tornadoes caused damage:
- Regarding people: 01 person died due to a tree falling on him (Mr. Nguyen Van Rot, born in 1981, residing in group 11 of Long Binh hamlet, Kien An commune, Cho Moi district, An Giang province).
- Back home: 24 houses had their roofs blown off (An Giang 15; Tay Ninh 9).
Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, local authorities organized visits and encouragement for families of victims; Mobilize on-site forces to support people in overcoming the consequences, quickly stabilize their lives and continue to organize reviews and statistics of damages.
