Viet Nam, Storms and Landslides in Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Yen Bai, and Cao Bang

According to the updated report of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control in the provinces of Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Cao Bang, heavy rain with thunderstorms, tornadoes, and lightning occurring from the night of June 3 to June 6, 2024 has caused damage. harmful as follows:
- Population: 2 people died (Ha Giang), 02 people are missing (Lao Cai).
- Houses: 127 houses were damaged and had their roofs blown off (Ha Giang 29, Lao Cai 01, Yen Bai 14, Cao Bang 83).
- Agriculture: 266 hectares of rice and crops were affected and damaged (Ha Giang 4, Yen Bai 29, Cao Bang 233).
- Livestock: 151 cattle and poultry died or were swept away (Ha Giang 58, Yen Bai 2, Cao Bang 91).
- Fisheries: 8.8 hectares of aquaculture were damaged (Ha Giang 0.3; Yen Bai 8.5).
- Irrigation: 11 irrigation works were damaged and collapsed (Cao Bang).
- Traffic: 144 landslides with a total volume of nearly 13,100 m3 of soil and rocks.
Immediately after a natural disaster occurs, local authorities mobilize on-site forces to search for missing victims, visit families, and support people in repairing their homes and overcoming the consequences.

- Return home: 56 houses were damaged (Ha Giang 27, Lao Cai 01, Yen Bai 14, Cao Bang 14).
- Regarding agriculture: 40.64 hectares of rice and crops were affected and damaged.
- Regarding traffic: 22 landslide points with a total volume of over 7,000 m3 of soil and rock.
