Description
Thunderstorms damaged 32 houses in Tien Giang
According to the report of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Tien Giang Engineering and Construction, the damage caused by the impact of thunderstorms and high winds on the evening of July 31, 2022, caused 32 houses to lose their roofs (Tan commune). Phu 20 units, My Hanh Trung commune 02 units, My Hanh Dong commune 06 apartments, My Phuoc Tay commune 02 apartments, Tan Hoi commune 01 units, Tan Binh commune 01 units). In addition, the tornado knocked down 4 power poles and some trees. Estimated damage is about 640 million
Immediately after the above incident, the Commanding Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Cai Lay Town directed the People's Committees of communes to implement measures and support forces to help people overcome damaged houses. Remove roofs caused by thunderstorms, clean up fallen trees along the roadside. By noon on August 1, 2022, the house repair work had basically been completed to ensure the stability of people's lives. For fallen power poles Cai Lay town's electricity is being repaired, expected to be completed in the afternoon of August 1, 2022.
