Description

According to a quick report from the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Binh Thuan and An Giang provinces:

Binh Thuan Province: On October 16, heavy rain in Ham Thuan Bac district flooded 122 houses (about 0.5m); 415 hectares of rice, 360 hectares of crops and 145 hectares of dragon fruit were flooded and caused some other damage.
An Giang Province: On October 17, at Vinh Binh Hamlet, Vinh Truong Commune, An Phu District, a landslide occurred on the West bank of the Hau River (the landslide location is about 100m downstream from Vinh Hau - Co Tuc ferry terminal) with a total length of about 25m, width of about 2m, the landslide reached the asphalt edge of the rural traffic route.
Immediately after the disaster occurred, local authorities mobilized local forces to support people in overcoming the consequences and stabilizing their lives.
