Description

As warned by Thailand Meteorological Department, between 23-27 April 2018 provinces in the northern and northeastern part of Thailand were experiencing destructive thunderstorms and strong wind. In Kalasin Province alone, 87 houses were damaged across Tha Khantho, Huai Mek, Yang Talat and Kham Muang districts. In Nan Province, 45 houses, crops and five power poles were damaged in Wiang Sa District. In Phichit Province, a storm brought gusty winds to Dong Charoen district on Wednesday evening, ripping the roofs off 12 houses. In total, Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported summer storms had hit 45 districts in 20 provinces across the country from April 23-25, affecting 1,042 households in 136 villages.
