On 22 May, heavy rainfall and strong winds occurred in Sam Ngam District in Phichit Province, central Thailand causing severe weather-related incidents and damage. According to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of Thailand (DDPM), the storm affected and damaged the Wat Noen Po School in Noen Po Subdistrict where several people took shelter, resulting in six fatalities and 18 injured people. National authorities assisted the affected people.
On 23-24 May, strong winds and possible thunderstorms are expected across central Thailand.
